Personally I find it very amusing to compare the Japan-made L5 replicas. Greco L-100 and Aria Pro II L-1000 are most popular among the prominent Japanese challengers in 70's and 80's, and to do a direct comparison of Greco's VS Aria's, Greco seems to be more aggressive on copying as close as possible to L5 whereas Aria, under Matsumoto's leadership, set the same quality in terms of timbers and craftsmanship but was wiser to get around the lawsuit from the US company. With this applied, L-1000 has the same 17 inch body size and tailpiece of L5, but the flame logo of the headstock and fretboard inlay was borrowed from Super 400 or Johnny Smith model.
