An Expressionist - As Versatile As It Could Be
Introducing here again is the legendary vintage Greco SA-550, best known for Gibson 330 replica. With superb quality and maximized resonance coming from split center blocks, plus humble price, she plays crossover tonality from bright & clear sound to soft distortion.

As shown on the photos, this guitar features trapezoid tailpiece, a key distinguisher of 1st generation SA-550. It was designed meticulously after Gibson and guided the sound wave from the strings transmitting throughout the body with rich impression. But in 1978 Greco revamped the design and ended up deciding to replace the tailpiece with STP (Stop Tail Piece). This adds the rarity of this 1st generation indeed?

Also notable is he crown emblem which again disappeared in 1979 model onward, most probably to get around the copy threat from Gibson. The beard top of the headstock on this first generation was another vivid sign of Gibson lawsuit.

Speaking of maintenance and the general condition, the guitar remains as one of the finest kind among SA-550's selling on the market. No binding crack, no scratch, no neck curvature whatsover, nevertheless if you ever need magnified view of any suspicious area, please suggest. Sound-wise, warm & clean at the neck pickup, overdrive feel at the bridge pickup, and the hybrid can be played with 3 way switch. Intonation / action are all good to go. Lastly, a genuine hardshell case ships along with this absolute beauty.
