This is an earlier production as the tone knobs doesn't have toggle feature (switching between single coil and humbucker). My finding is the models after 1986 has started featuring push-push coil tap.

Date of manufacture was Nov 1978. I confirmed by calling Yamaha HQ telling them the serial number.

Photos below indicate a bit of dents around the bottom, which is commonly found for this heavy solid body. 2 of the knobs have their lid taken off. Other than that I'd say the guitar itself has been carefully maintained for 35 years. I will deliver this guitar with hard shell case.
