  •  SOLD  1987 Fender ST-57
    Fender Japan Stratocaster
Excited to list up a highly acclaimed Fender Japan E Series Stratocaster. Serial number starting with E indicates the guitar was made between 1984 and 1987 by one of the Japan’s best guitar makers Fujigen, the same company which left the legend of Greco and Ibanez vintages behind.

The model number ST-57 also implies it religiously follows 1957 Fender Stratocaster specs including softer V neck, alder body, maple neck and Kluson Deluxe-styled tuning machines, just to name a few.

Interestingly, Fender Japan catalog at that time promotes the keyword on the maturity of sound and aesthetic design, particular around the curvy body. Also notable is that there are different submodels of ST57 depending on the combination of finish, bridge assembly and control switch. The guitar you look at must be ST57-55 which features 5 way control switch whereas the other models such as ST57-70, ST57-80, ST57-115 and others have 3 way control switch.

Looking at the condition of the guitar, the black beauty of body with asymmetric contour is very attractive, with minimum scratches. Previous nut did not fit and it is now replaced with a brand new one by a technician in ESP workshop Tokyo. Apart from that, I have little to critique – electronics all functioning good and parts original, and to prove I let one of my jazz guitar friends play at his live. Have a watch and say you too love this beautiful instrument!
