  •  SOLD  1968 Yamaha SA-30T
    Genesis of Japan Semi Hollow
Put up here is the first generation of Japanese hollow body guitars and the king of 1960's Yamaha hollow body. The serial number 16450 of this guitar indicates it's manufactured in 1968. Over a half decade has passed without major cracks or scratches, what an amazing maintenance. Tuner peg covers have been taken out by wind, and the input jack outlet got a dent but all the other parts in tact as original.

Sound-wise, the guitar plays rich and vibrant, antique and reminiscent. Suits best for rock, jazz, blues and crossover players in my opinion. Neck is very smooth and still straight, very good.

To brief the specification - symmetrical double cutaway semi-hollow body, ivoroid body binding, two ivoroid-bound f-holes, set neck, 22-fret fingerboard with dot inlays, wood-based bridge, trapeze tailpiece, three knobs (volume, tone, mike balancer), three-way pickup switch, chrome hardware, Sunburst finish, 24.75 inch scale. Please feel free to ask any question on this hidden jewel.
